Kindles in the Nook

I won't have it.

I won't own a Nook. I want nothing to do with a Kindle. I'm not a snob, I swear! I don't think there is anything wrong with Nooks or Kindles; I just don't want one. Neither do I want an iPad, or an eBook.

It's not the same. A Nook doesn't smell like a book. It hasn't been loved like a book. In fact, I knew a fellow in English class who accidentally sat on his Nook and broke it. You can't break books. When I travel, and my plane comes in for landing, I don't have to turn my book off. It couldn't mess with the air traffic signals if it tried. I know there are good things about E-Readers, like they are easier to transport, but they are harder to love. Most of all, I refuse to buy a Nook because of this:

I defy any electronic reader to be so perfect.

These are just some of my favorites in my collection of antique, previously-loved books...told you I was a nerd.
