Well, technically she isn't my real twin, but let's pretend.
I met Twinnie my junior year of college, and we realized that we look a lot of like: white skin, dark hair, blue eyes, etc. Not only do we look alike, we think on the same brainwave, have the same interests, and both geek out of the same things...kind of like twins...or clones? Clone doesn't sound as cute.
Last spring, Twinnie came to me with a genius plan. We were both turning 21 that year, so why not make a list of twenty-one things to do before we turned twenty-one. I know! That's brilliant! Sadly, I only accomplished half of the things on my list, but still managed to go on an adventure, wear a big hat to the horse races, get a piercing, and graduate with my Bachelors. SO, all in all, the list was a pretty fabulous idea.
This year, I'm obviously going to be twenty-two, and there is obviously going to be another list. I'm hoping to post some pictures with this list so you can see I am actually doing this. Some explanations will be posted along with the items on this list because they are a bit absurd at times...apologies.
Twenty-Two Things to do Before Turning Twenty-Two
1. Finish my book by August 4, 2012.
2. Put a temporary streak of color in my hair.
3. Sneak a bag of popcorn into the movie theaters by hiding it under my shirt and pretending to be pregnant. (Please don't ask me why 'cause I don't know...I've just always wanted to see if I can get away with this).
4. Go cliff-diving with my Bakery Buddy
5. Go adventuring with Juwa
6. Start sending query letters to literary agents...eek!
7. Get the abs I want
8. Climb the tallest mountain in my state.
9. Run a 5K
10. Go out for cocktails with a friend.
11. Read two Shakespearean plays
12. Organize my poetry and submit some to contests.
13. Try escargot and raw oysters
14. Start to play that guitar sitting in my room.
15. Fill an empty, clean mayo jar with vanilla pudding and walk around town eating it, and see how many people freak out..heehee
16. Swim in a waterfall
17. Learn to do that "crane" pose in yoga where you stand on your head.
18. Either buy a longbow for archery, or take a fencing lesson.
19. Go to the ballet with my friends.
20. Work on my Italian, and maybe practice some French.
21. Sign up for my handgun permit
22. Find a stable near my house and go horseback riding.
So there you go! We'll see if I can get some pictures to go along with this!
