Do you love graduations? I'm one of those weird people who loves them. I love the tradition, the regalia, the pomp and circumstance surrounding decades of academics. I love seeing young people who have worked so hard reap the fruit of their labors, which is probably why I've seriously considered being a professor. College is special, and my college is really special. Not just because its one of the most beautiful campuses on the Eastern seaboard, or because it is one of the most respected universities in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Christopher Newport University is special because of the people. I miss the people.
This weekend, my precious roommates graduated, so I headed back down to my alma mater to watch my girls walk. Here are some of the highlights.
This is exciting.
People everywhere getting ready
That building was where I pretty much lived senior year.
